Coming Soon, UNI Guide to Working with Vacant Lots Mini-Grant Winners Will be Announced

The Urban Neighborhood Initiative 2017 Mini-Grant application period was closed Friday, November 3rd, and the applications are being reviewed. Recipients will be notified directly by email or phone Wednesday, November 22nd. And then we will share the winners on our website next week.

The Mini-Grant program provides financial support along with technical assistance to develop vacant lots for green uses, which is part of UNI’s mission of promoting health and attractive neighborhoods. Applicants must own or have long-term use of a lot within the UNI boundaries (Truman Road on the north to 52nd Street on the south; Troost Avenue on the west and Prospect on the east). Proof is not needed in order to submit a proposal but must be provided if selected for a grant award.
