KCNA Seeking Volunteers to Help Clean, Prepare School Grounds for Aug. 2 Opening

Kansas City Neighborhood Academy (KCNA) is currently seeking approximately 50 volunteers to assist with interior and exterior cleaning, maintenance and preparation for the new school’s Aug. 2 opening.

KCNA is looking to conduct the following tasks:
- removing and relocating excess furniture from the building
- general cleaning and debris removal in classrooms and common spaces
- painting lines on playground and sprucing-up the outdoor playground area
- assembling new bookshelves and distributing to classrooms

Volunteers are asked to assist in four-hour time periods on the projects, although individuals may work in shorter increments, if needed. School staff is also seeking a volunteer with access to striping equipment for painting lines on the school playground.
