Parent Leadership Training Institute to Host Info Sessions for Community Leaders Aug. 30

The Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) would like to welcome school, non-profit and community leaders to a pair of informational sessions on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City.

The PLTI enables parents to become leading advocates for their children, teaching parents advocacy skills that will help change their children’s lives and improve lifelong health, safety and learning.

Attendees will have two sessions to choose from on Aug. 30 – one from 9:30-11 a.m. and another from 3:30-5 p.m. Parents, grandparents and guardians are also encouraged to experience a “taste” of PLTI from 6-7:30 p.m. that evening at St. Marks Child & Family Development Center, 2008 E. 12th St., where child care and dinner will be provided.
